I am looking into replacing a XV750 Virago rear wheel (16 inch) with a X650 Turbo rear wheel. Using a 130/90/18 the 18 inch tire will be app. 2 inches taller. Just looking to lower the highway rpm's. Several refrences say the XJ 650 had a gear ratio in the differential at around 2.9 (vs 3.4 in the Virago). Some XJ 650's had 16 inch rear wheels but I think the turbo's had 18 inch rear wheels. What I don't know is which model had the 2.9 ratio differential or if both had it or did the 16 inch have the same ratio as the Virago. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
