I noticed the other day when I was checking the air filter on my '82 Seca 650 that the air intake at the rear of the airbox has a removable piece that opens up the inlet of the airbox by about 50%. Anyone ever play with this thing or notice it? Just wondering, cruzerjd

Nope, I've not seen this panel on my Max. Hmmm... notice any changes in your streetability? Be sure to check the plugs for a lean condition. Otherwise, go for it!

Looked it up in my Haynes. Intake Duct for the 650 model only, 750 model does no use it, so I am guessing they use the same box for the 650 ans 750 models and restrict the 650 as it does not need as much intake airflow. Removing it made it a bit doggy so I am replacing it today. cruzerjd
