Anyone know how to remove the chrome covers from my shocks?

Do they pull/twist off or the likes?

It seems that you'd have to disassemble the shock to get them off but I am hoping there is an easier way....

    Cheers

They're generally "trapped" between the springs' top and bottom seats and the body. The only way to get them off without hurting anything would be to disassemble the shocks; and I don't know if on your style, the upper cover has some additional functionality (I don't know for sure if you could eliminate the upper.)

Again, generally speaking (it's hard to tell from the pic) "disassembling" springs from shocks isn't very difficult; you simply compress the spring without compressing the shock and remove the retainer(s) then relax the spring.

I don't think they do anything as they seem to spin quite freely. and the Damper and pre-load adjustments are in the normal places.

I guess I will just have to poke around when I have them off. Losing funsction is fine as they are going to be going onto a different set of shocks.

    Cheers
