    Hey guys,

I need to remove one of the side pipes on my exhaust header. I've removed the header bracket bolts from the engine and loosen the clamp on the other end but it won't come out.. am I missing something?

I suspect cos it hasn't moved for 37 years.. any advice on the best way to do this would be awesome...

    Rubber mallet.

    Penetrating oil.

    Twist and pull.

Sometimes you have to drop the crossover pipe and the headers as a set in order to be able to get enough motive force.

    Yup.
Be smart about it though. The pipes are pretty easy to put a heck of a dent into.

Good. Now before you go to put it back together, use a torch and burn all of that grease off (after using a degreaser and a rinse). Just washing won't get it all out.
