Does anyone know of a replacement headlight bulb for the 1982 xj650. I'd like a bulb that is brighter than stock OEM.

It's a 7" headlamp. If you search the web you can find an H4 replacement for about $50.

In my case I bought a halogen sealed beam at Walmart for about $9. I don't remember the number but it's the round one for a 2 headlamp system.

Way better than the stock lamp.

Same here but I have a problem. First the dim side went out and then the bright, I bought another one and dim has gone out on it now. Any suggestions?

Yes. Buy a real motorcycle headlight instead of an automotive unit. They're designed to withstand the vibration.

Chacal carries a real nice Hella H4 conversion that works great I have one in my '81, it has around 5000 miles on it no issues.
