Im trying to get at the oil seal for the final drive system on the engine side. I picked up this bike cheap after sitting for years and as soon as i started it and put it in gear it started to leak oil from this seal. I have the new seal already and am just trying to gain access to the oil seal !

So far i have removed the rear wheel and driveshaft assembly and am now attempting to get the crossmember of whih the driveshaft and u-joint sits in. One side is removed but the left side bolt will not come out. Am i missing something ?

Cant seam to find anybody else taking this peice apart so im starting to wonder if i need to remove the engine ? Any help would be greatly appreciates

Btw this is my first motorcycle and have never dealt with small engines much before.

It looks like you have the locking tab bent far enough out of the way.
The left side swingarm bearing pin tensd sot be exposed to more moisture than the right.
Give it a soak with penetatrating oil (not WD-40) for a few days, and come back with a breaker bar to free it up.
BTW, in case you might think so, it's not a left-handed thread. Lefty-loosey like the other side.

Speaking of the other side; did you follow the manual procedure for unlocking it? It's not just a threaded pin. It has two parts in order to set bearing preload.

Awesome thank you this is very helpful ! And honestly no i did not, i do have the other side removed already but am not sure on the process for reinstalling. I still need to get my hands on a manual for this bike as well. Once i get access to do the seal i will definitely need to make sure i properly reinstall everything.
