I've seen posts for generic gauges that will fit an 82 xj750 maxim. Anyone have any idea what my best options are for a replacement speedometer and tach? Wanting to make the bike as safe as possible to ride, but stock gauges are going for ridiculous amounts and I don't even like the way they look. If I could just replace them with 2 pods or if someone had some better looking gauges from a different model that would bolt/wire right on I'd really like to know what I should be looking for compatibility wise. I'd like all the bells and whistles that are on the factory dash, but I could live without everything and wire in some LED's for the turn signal and neutral lights, I just want something cleaner looking. Anyone have any suggestions. I'm pretty good at fitting things and wiring things up, but my technical knowledge of motorcycles is non-existent so I'm really just wanting opinions. Thanks,
