I had a great ride today....... it was a cool windy day here in the Northeast US. I took a ride to the local forest and road for an hour on dirt roads that were not used in a long time and not passable by car. I was real nice to purr along in first gear and look at the woods and lakes. Coming across old farm houses and horses in pastures. The bike never got hot and never missed a beat. When I came out to a two lane road I got going and cooled it down before turning on the next small road I could find adventuring places I have never been. It's days like this that make all the hard work I put into my 34 year old Yamaha. Rebuilding the engine myself last year makes it rewarding. Well have a great ride and take the smallest road you can find.

I love a nice cool ride at moderate speeds on a smooth running XJ. I love smooth, rural and winding blacktop roads.

Glad you had an enjoyable experience.

Turned hot here to day - 90+ Fahrenheit. Took my windshield off so I get air blowing over me when cruising around town.
