So, I got a bunch of carb parts from Chacal.

Totally rebuilt the carbs, Colortuned and synchronized.

There is nothing a like a finely dialed in XJ 650J!

She is smooth, quick and responsive! She feels better than when she was new!

And no fuel leaking anymore!! WOOT!

Truth to tell, there are times, like right now, where I like riding Rosie more than my '80 XS11SG Special!

Who's a happy camper? This guy! LOL

    Foolber, Great question!!

With a Colortune tool, you can see the color of the explosion, inside your cylinder, and by turning the air mixture screw, you can "tune" to get the exact color you want.

Once you get the color tune correct, man the engine runs beautifully!

The tool, replaces the spark plug, and has a glass lens so you can look into the cylinder. It also has a wire, that connects to your spark plug wire, so you get the spark.

Once you get all the cylinders right at the junction between orange and a deep blue/purple, you are color tuned. Then, synchronize the carbs to eachother and man you would not believe how good these "Seca" engins run!

    Yes, great song!
