Im cleaning the rotors I call em disk wich ever you prefer..

any hows I took some wet sanding paper (150) grit to them. they look decent enough but my question is : how much does the disc being true come into play? what I means is even all around the disc. I did this all by hand and I know im not that perfect. so should I post some pics so you can see. I dont think you would be able to tell from a photograph.

But hey I love snapping off pics and posting them just ask rick

I used a sanding block & basically knocked the glaze off. I started with 220 & went up to 600 for a nice smooth finish, If your using 150, I would just make sure your not leaving any gouges in the disk, nice and smoooooooth!

Unless your arm is mighty sore there is no way you sanded them out of true enough to matter (think Popeye).

    Agreed!

I used 150 wet/dry paper and sanded my rotors and disc pads and they bedded in beautifully!

Not sure you need to go all the way to 600 grit.

I'm still trying to figure out the tie between rotors and desks...... 8O

To answer your ?, use a green RoLoc disc on your rotors (disks) and they will be restored to a serviceable (but not new) finish.

I've bedded my pads after a 150 grit clean-up no problem.
