I had some upholstery staples rust and stain fiberglass.

I went to the HW store today for some muratic acid to hit it with. Kid at the store talked me into The Works instead.

Well, The Works has about the same effect as staring at it hard. I did take care of most of the problem with some 600 wet sandpaper.

Some of the staples seem to have worn the gell coat a bit, so the stains are sub flush. The sandpaper isn't getting them.

So, a question for the boards: Do I go for the muratic, or get a bit coarser sandpaper?

i don't know what this is on but one of my favorite cheap and dirty's is a set of Sharpies, they come in a bunch of colors and are semi-permanent
