Saw this on ebay and wondering if it would be worth buying?

Hey all, saw this on ebay and though, hmmm, my engine has 31k, wonder if this would be good to have in case I need it. Also, in the ad it says that some rust is on the cams, would that actually be an issue or could it be used as is or cleaned?

I say get it. You made need to clean it up, but why not? It is easier to rebuild a motor that you have off the bike. Plus you can take your sweet time on it.

Otherwise, if you get it for less than 100, you could probably get your money back by parting it out anyways.

Thanks for the advice, now I'm hoping no one "ninja's" it since I was dumb enough to show the ad to everyone, lol!

Cylinder heads rarley fail, when they do pistons and other stuff goes with it. If thats all you need it get it but I would search my area for a complete parts bike. You could get a complete bike for a couple hunderd or cheaper , then you'll have all the parts you will ever need.

That's even better advice mlew, thanks! I guess it just makes me nervous to have 31k on a bike, but I can see your point about needing the whole engine and how a parts bike would make more sense.

Thats right, 31K is not many miles. Keep your bike well maintained and it will easily go 100K +.
