    anyone know where to get a seat cover for a 81 xj550 maxim?

    I have been looking on ebay but they ones there dont look correct. they say its for a 550 maxim but it looks like the seat cover to a 550 seca.

    Some of those ebay adds show one model seat in
    the add but will send the correct one after tacking your order.
    Or...if your cheap like me you can make your own.
    I bought the vinal at the local sewing supply and added what
    I wanted for looks.
    Use the old seat as the pattern.
    You can kinda see it in my gallery. just keep clicking the
    red paint job for full screen.

    I know a guy that works at an upholstry shop... He can get it covered for you or you can look for one in your area to avoid paying for shipping.

    Before did it myself I checked two local upholstry shops.
    Just for the ft seat they wanted $200.00.
    It cost me about $20.00 including buttons and studs.
    I had to hand sew it since my wifes machine was down at the
    time but a heavy needle and a singer and your in business.

    My guy should be able to do it for closer to $65ish plus shipping.
