    Will a 750 seat fit on a 650?

I'm kinda curious what aftermarket seats we can actually fit on the XJ 650 without having to do any modifications.

I'd love to have some options but can't weld a bracket so I'm restricted.

    Help!

Try fiberglassing your own seat pan. There are a few how-tos out there so do a little searching.

    this seat is from a 1980 750 AND my bike is a 1982 650.

It wont cinch down but looks like it is made for it.
The bracket to lock down the seat does not meet the stubs on the bike.

Undo the two "insert Clamps" and add a couple of Flat Washers between the Seat and the Bracket.

    Lube the locking catches.

    That should so the trick.

I have a high back rest seat like that on mine right now. It's great for when my wife wants to ride, but i'd like to get a shorter back seat for when it's just me.
