Alright- installed a R1 integrated tail on my seca 2- worked great for 3 weeks.

Finally got a pair of led flush mounts- installed on the front...

Now when I hit the switch left I get 4 ways... all lights blinking... and if I hit the switch right, the left front blinks and the right rear blinks

    HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN.

Seriously I am at a loss now- I bought a new relay thinking perhaps it was shot... a nice new one built for LEDS ( I did have resistors in before but that seems to make no difference)

Testing the power to the back lights is strange... if I disconnect the set of wires running to the tail/rear signals the whole system stops- relay stops firing etc... HOWEVER after testing the pins for the signals I found there is 6 volts on the left and right wire if switched left (turn signal switch on handle bar) and 6 volts ONLY on the right if switched right.

    6 volts?

Not sure if its of any consequence but the two running lights wires are just hanging not connected... sealed but not connected... could that effect it?

Is there a simple way I could just avoid all of this? Wire my own setup?

IT seems like a short in the switch to me but led's don't draw enough power to make the stock flasher work properly, you'll get a voltage drop with anything that has any restance tn the crucuit too. You might try to add some resstance in line (aka wire a resistor in series with the lights)

mine won't light a incandecent bulb with an led in series but it will in paralell LED's don't have enough resistance to make anything work right.

the flasher isn't going to work without some resistance, either light bulbs or resistors or something having bulbs that either disconnected or burnt out will negate the flashers ability to work, just like a car. if the blinker dosn't blink it's probably a burnt out bulb. Less resistance dosn't draw enough amps to make the flasher flash the flasher sees it as a little bled of power and it won't click.

I don't have a cure for your delema but your chasing a spook. does it work with regular bulbs installed?

All i know is that before I cut down the stock FRONT signals it worked- and after it did not.

I replaced the relay with a special LED electronic relay- this did the EXACT same thing the stock relays were doing (WITH RESISTANCE)

So obviously the relay is not the issue...

could the running light wires in the front . . not being attached cause this?
