1983 900 Seca Yamaha sport bike.
This bike has been stored inside a heated shop for three or four years and is really in pretty decent shape. Its missing the lower cowl and the headlight but I believe everything else is there. It has some unique parts that could be used to dress up a 750 or could be restored.
Forks are very slightly pitted although I have a spare set. Paint is partially faded but the tank has no dents. The seat is in great shape... it appears that it has not ever been crashed.

NO TITLE ... but other than the headlight, its intact.
A new title can be had from any title service for @ $100.

Its priced to sell and must be picked up in York, PA, no exceptions. Call 717-757-6687 for more info or directions to see it.
I have an extra pair of forks in pristine condition that I will offer for $40 additional. If the bike goes for over $400, I'll throw em in for free

I love my 900 and would jump at the chance to own another one at that price.

Only a hundred miles from me. I'm scared of the lack of a title though. Could be $150 down the drain. Very, very tempting.

You could really bling out a Seca Turbo with the 900 wheels, forks and disc rear brake. You could also put the 900 motor into one of you shot turbos, or your na Seca 650. Their is a lot of potential there for a few hundred bucks. You could resell one of your defunct turbos with the 900 motor and make a grand or more. Jump on it! There are currently 2 900's for sale around here, one for $1000, and another for $2500 (really pretty with full Hannigan fairing etc). If I didn't have my Suzuki bought, I'd have picked up the cheapie.

Would it be wrong to buy this and sell it in pieces?

    Well...
So far; there's nobody steppin'-up to even do that? I think the 60K has everybody turned-off.

Plus NO Title ... and it's all-work; no play.

I'd be all over it if it were within a days driving range... I just don't want to pay $500 in shipping for a $150 bike.

I went to look at it. The mileage is actually 88,000
I couldn't get the gas cap off, the lock felt real dry. The forks were not that bad, a few specks of rust very light. I pushed it in gear, the engine wasn't locked up. Tiny little tear in the seat, maybe 1/4 inch on the bottom corner. It really didn't look that bad.

Glad some one is bidding on it. My roommate said one bike in the basement is enough so I have to let it go.

I'm really glad it's getting bids. I came really close to maybe starting to think about buying it, but I really, really, really don't need another project.

I almost had that 900 wrapped-up. I had the bid amount typed-in and all I had to do was bring-up the cursor and click. Bingo.

But, then the door flew-open and grenade went-off and stunned me ... I felt cold steel at the back of my neck below my ear. More mercenary's burst into the room and one guy made a perfect dive into the corner and un-plugged everything.

"Just back away from the computer, Mr. Massey, and everything will be fine."

"Code Four. No Bid. No Bike."

I wonder how-much my wife's paying them guys???

    Just noticed something odd.

The sellers handle is '900Seca' and according to eBay it has been for 5 years.

Wouldn't you think someone using that handle would know more about this bike and offer more info?

He had another Seca in his garage he is selling, I'm not sure what size it was.
He said it was a 2 cycle ????
I only glanced at it, I think it was liquid cooled. It was yellow with the black yamaha striping.

    FYI

    Aye, yai, aye ...

With that "900Seca" ID ... I'd expect him to know enough to fill-in any of the blanks without an "I'm not too sure" or, "Maybe this or maybe that"

    Huh ...?

Thank goodness. I survived. Up till the last minute, I was still thinking about it. Longest 10 minutes of my life.

Damn, that motor would have been in my 650 lickety split after a freshening up. As with you, no room, no time.
