I was figuring the forks could slide out of the triple clamps but for the life of me I cant get the air crossover tube fittings off the fork legs!! Any secret to this or do I look at pulling the springs and using a "special tool" to lock the damping rods and popping off the bottoms with the tubes in place or perhaps a gear puller from the local auto parts store? I would not want to break them  Hitting them with a hammer and penetrating oil has done nothing so far. Are they press fit or most likely just corroded on? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks, Cameron.

From memory they should just slide off. They have 2 o-rings in each one to keep the air in place. If they are corrided, maybe leave them overnight with penetrating oil and you should be able to spin / twist them off.

    Good luck with it.
