Seca bobber project

    Right now im in the middle of building my bobber and im getting ready to weld on the hardtail this week. My question is how much ground clearence does everybody have on their bikes?

    with the collecter under the frame i had maybe 2 inches maybe 2 and 1/2 inches. you may wanna go little higher tho. Three and a half to 4 inches under the exhaust pipes would be good. All depends if ya like the look of it.

    I'll vote for at least 4"(you know what they say about opinions though). You built the frame off the bike? When (and if) I get to that point, was planning on blocking up my bike, doing cutting and welding on the bike. Have you got any pics yet (I hope)???

    Right now i have the bike sitting 4.5 inchs up (three scrap 2x4's i had laying around. the boards are right on the frame. i do have some pictures but i havnt got my lazy butt around to buying the cord so that i can get them onto my computer.

    leadboot: did you have to grind anything on your drive shaft? or was it okay?
