Hi mate, she's really clean. Are you sure she needs a total restore? If you've got the funds, I'd ride this one and buy a $300 project!

Not a literal total restore. I wanna get the paint cleaned up, get all the metal finishes back to being shiny and that is really about all it needs. My grandpa bought it from an aution for 350 and it wouldnt start when he got it but we figured out it was the kill switch. Anyway, he ended up giving it to me for free and i had to take it to the shop and sink some money into her. After it was all said and done, between repairs at the shop and repairs me and my mechanic did at home i put about 1k into her.

I would like to get myself a 650 or larger for cheap and customize her. But that is on the back burner for now. College is really expensive.

I love the passenger pegs. Do you have a link to where you got them? And the bike is really clean, the color combo works :)

I got those pegs from a local cycle shop, but i would not mind going up there and asking where they ordered them from. I also found a set similar to them on the jcwhitney website, except they said v-twin on them. I will keep an eye for some for you though if u like.

Very nice bike. The Orange in it really stands out. I will know it's you if I pass you on the road someday.

Thanx zrt. I really really like the paint job on this bike but it does need to be repainted. I will probably stick with the same colors. Just want her to shine like the day she rolled out of the factory.

I actually go to Saginaw Valley State University schooter. I almost went to mtu but my biggest problem with the school can be expressed in a saying that i heard from an MTU alum, "Michigan Tech. Where the men are men, and so are teh woman." lol. In all seriousness though, that is an awesome school. When summer rolls around again and if you come home, we should try to get all of the Michigan guys together and do a cruise. I think it would be awesome to go riding in a pack of XJs.
