ok so first time ever doing valves.i did all of them and id like a second check and where to get ahold of shims.

    CYL:------1----------2----------3----------4

    IN:------.13--------.08--------.08--------.13
    OUT:--.15-.18---.10-.13---.15-.18------.15
    shim
    IN:------------------285-------280------------
    OUT:----275-------280-------280--------280
    replace
    IN:------------------280-------275-----------
    OUT:----270--------270-------275-------275

am i correct? and should i even worry about the .15's on the outs and i should say that the .15-.18 means it fits my .15 but not my .18 same with the .10-.13. my shim tool goes by .02 increments

bike specifies INS being .11-.15 and OUTS at .16-.20

if your valve clearances are too tight, then you need thinner shims not thicker ones

I'd say you need a better reading for those exhaust measures. Is it .15 or .18, makes a big difference on whether you're changing them or not.

0.18 leave it be. 0.15 = one size less.

You need a more accurate set of metric feeler gauges to begin with.

K-D Tools' pn 2274 is widely available.

well with my set they were from oreillys so.. idk i may just rip them apart and put 2 together to get the number i need. and to KrS14 it will fit a .15 in it but not the .18 so it could be a .16 or.17. ill figure something out. been sick so going out there in the cold is a bleh
