If interested... Getting the Honda Magna vf750. So "Road Rash" has to go and I would very much prefer it went to someone who will take care of it. You can click the link at the bottom of my posts (in the signiture) to see the thread I made for the project and also see it at this link www.youtube.com/rsheehan79 There are a few videos of it so just search through my channel. Spent a lot of time and money on parts and paint, etc... just got the freshly painted oem side covers on there too.

I actually got a call on the bike. Guy offered $1125. I was supposed to ride it over to meet him the next day so he could check it out. This is where I turned into a chicken s**t and bailed. I didn't even tell him the truth. I called him the next day and told him told him I think I blew the motor. If it was someone I knew, especially a close friend or even someone here from the site, it wouldn't have been so bad.
I still couldn't keep it at my place, though.
My dad is an old school biker. He has no way to afford a bike, though and hasn't ridden in a long time. So for his birthday and fathers day (combined) he got the title and keys to "Road Rash". He will take care of it for sure. Plus I'll get to ride it every now and again and will be helping him with all of the maintenance. I felt sick about the idea of someone messing it all up or something.

    very classy!

I didnt think you would ever let it go- as it was a memorial, but i'm glad it went into the family and i cant imagine the grin on his face.

Oh I have to stick around. He doesn't know anything about the bike and I only know what I have learned here. Yeah... sometimes I come up with these wild ideas and try to keep my mind set on a decision... Selling "Road Rash" seemed like a good idea but had no real justification behind it other than not being able to keep more than one bike on the property. As soon as I posted to craigslist and on here, my mind changed but it wasn't until I got the actual offer (and more than I was expecting) that the mind change was solid. My dad isn't going to be changing anything and he won't wreck or sell or neglect it. So the adventure of "Road Rash" is still here, just on a new chapter. But I plan to stick around.
