Throttle cable broke. Sent my friend to go grab a new one, meanwhile tried to disconnect everything, ended up stripping the heads of the screws. Then ended up ripping the blue wire for the start button out. Then ended up breaking the plastic at the throttle. Gah!!! Luckily the local store was still open and happened to have one for this old girl IN STOCK!!! An actual Yamaha piece.

Got it all back together, and realized that the bike would continuously try to start when the kill switch was in the on position. I pulled out the blue wire, and no more issues. Just have to push the blue wire onto the handlebars to get her to start, but it was enough to get me home!! All in all it took about three hours.
