I finally finished up my shed project, so now it's back to the bike project. Taking the advice of others I took the rear wheel off to check the brake shoes, and was pleasantly surprised. No delamination, and I'm fairly certain that the shoes are much newer than the bike. Also checked the bearings and gear lube. Bearings are good, gear lube level was spot on and the lube looks brand new (will still change it but it's better to find it that way than dry or full of milky/watery goop!). Still have to remove the springs and check the swingarm bearings. Also putting in an order with chacal tonight for the front end parts and valve cover seals.
Feels good to get back to wrenching!

She's got her side of the garage, I've got mine. Problem was the tools/kid's bikes/shovels/rakes/etc was hard to work around with bike parts scattered everywhere. So the shed is for all the yard tools/mower/bicycles etc. I can now reclaim my rightful place!

Now I just need the parts from Len so I can reassemble the front end.
