    Hi,

Not sure if this is under the right forum topic, so my apologies if not.

I am looking for a shorter clutch cable. I have an 81 xj550. After putting lower handle bars on, my clutch cable is too long. About 5 to 6 inches. Are there any other bikes out there where I could you just swap?
There are clutch cable kits, but I don't want to do my own soldering or whatever is needed to attach that little thingie in the end. Too much force.

    Thanks,
    Gabor

From Chacals catalog for all XJ550 Maxim models. Wire length = 51-1/2". NOTE: for owners with lower-than-stock "clubman" style handlebars, the use of the XJ750 Seca clutch cable is a recommended substitute to allow for a more accurate cable routing. A\

go to this link and pick your length about half way down the page

www.xj4ever.com of course! Len has what you want, so start a conversation with chacal and get the cable you need he has always done right by me.

I replaced my cable this spring. Did not get it from Chacal which was a mistake as it doean't seem the proper length. Its a bit too long. Had to do some creative routing but did get it to work.
