Shorter Speedo cable xj 650

    Has anyone ever made or bought a shorter speedo cable? I know how to shorten the black sheathing but the inner metal cable has me stumped. Has anyone shortened one with success or should I pay a bunch of money to motion pro for a custom one?

    Moved speedo into my headlamp which sits lower. The original speedo cable is now too long.

    Thanks. The bucket is of a Puch. I bought it years ago while working on a different project but ended up never using it.

    Update:
    The kit came in and it was a quick and easy job.
    It worked great. I used the original inner wire. Only cut it, put on the supplied tip and that's it.
    Nice to have a spare wire now, but it would have been enough just to buy that one tip I needed.
