How many think I should send the fender to paint? and then put it on the bike!

How many think I should just put it on the shelf?

Paint it (unless you can't afford to)

I like it. It's different. If it were me, I would look to making a diffused lens to fit in that recess, keeping the flow of the fender in tact.

    Take the bulbs out.

    Lose the bulbs in-there look.

Stuff that back area where you got the bulbs with as many Red LED's as you can cram in there.

You might find a whole strip at a Car junk yard as a 3rd Brake light.

I don't know... that might actually work. It's got the unique angle going for it. Like Gremlin said, if you can come up with a lens to mount flush to the fender, that would do nicely.

It's a very interesting concept until it hangs up on the position of the license plate. I don't know if it will look good hanging off the back lip of the fender and ruin the look, if they ever look good to begin with...hate them! Don't the plates have to have a light also to pass inspection? I went through this problem when I got rid of the ugly factory tail light and plate bracket assembly off my XT.
