Probably was a colortune instead of car kit. Colortune is one of the methods to view your combustion and determine how to tweak your pilot screws.

Since the engine has 4 carbs, all have to be in sync for optimal performance. That is, they need to deliver the same amount of fuel/air mixture to each piston.

If you Google carb sync and colortune, you will find articles written that go into doing each one. I am sure there are posts here as well if you use the search function.

Yeah, these guys here are amazing with all their information. I personally think that the two hardest parts for me as a beginner was getting the carbs off and on the bike! Cleaning was a breeze as long as you got patience

No question is too silly to ask! Trust me I know, they put up with my silly girl questions all the time.
By the way to the left on the main menu bar, third down is Search, click on forums then put in Carb Sync, it'll bring up all the threads with that mentioned in it.

Ms. Belle, the notion that you ply us with "silly girl questions" is disappointing. You do not. Your presence here is greatly enjoyed and welcome.
As you pointed out, there are no silly questions, we relish the chance to conquer ignorance and dispel myths!
    Fire away with the questions!!!!

Ah, Robert. You don't fool us. Don't you mean that you relish the chance to strut, preen and crow in front of the ladies. <evil grin>

I'd bet whoever told you that meant a Carb kit, (new needle, seat and bowl gasket) If that's the case, contact Chacal, he can hook you up with the parts you need
