    Hey folks,
I just got my hands on a beautiful 82 Seca 750, and I’m slowly finding all of the big and little things that need attention.

One little quirk I’ve stumbled on is a missing seat prop rod. I have access to different size round rod stock and various benders, I just need the size and measurements for an existing rod. Anybody happen to have the specs, or be willing to take their rod off and gather some measurements?

I know there are some available to buy, but with access to the raw materials and a hydraulic bender, I’d just as soon make my own. I also know it’s just a simple z-bend, I just need the rod diameter (I’m guessing either 1/8 or 3/16) and the approximate lengths.

Just to be totally useless... what the hell is a 'seat prop rod'.
Please send us a pic of where it supposed to go.

Seats with hinges that don't lift off of course, when you unlock the seat and lift it there is a little rod that extends to hold the seat up seems to be a thing on the sake of models. Yamaha doesn't want you messing around under the seat to have it come slammed down on your fingers
