size of tank

hey was wondering what size the tank is. also how much is in tank when on res.

heres what happened, i took the bike out tonight and had the kid on the back for the first time. drove 10 miles to town then on way home lost power. when came to a stop sign it stalled. had to half choke to get started, but once it was started and tried to get going no power at all and almost wouldnt move. started driving down the street and it felt like it wasnt firing on all cylinders. couldnt get it above 45 mph. then it click maybe gas. but the gauge had one bar left so thought why would it be that. but i put it to the on position because i forgot the res was all way up. then boom it took off. bout 2 miles latter the fuel light started flashing but then would go back to the one then two bars the back to flashing.


so could it be a bad petcock or just tank empty. and how much would be on res.

oh when i got home i looked in tank and looked like maybe a gallon left does that sound right.

 

4.5 U.S. gallons with 0.9 on reserve.

 

Or in liters, main is 16 liters, 3 on reserve, total 19 liters.

 

What I hate is when I seem to be running out of gas but can lean my bike to the left and slosh some from the right side of the tank.

Heck i dont even need reserve that way
