I have a 10'x16' shed with a loft that I was thinking about setting it up for my future personal bike restorations, repair, maintenance, and storing. I'm not familiar with setting up for small space. Thinking peg board for tools. Anyone else using a small space for their personal repairs and storage? What did you do to save space?

Peg boards are fantastic. Invest in an awning so you can double your workspace during warm weather.
For years all I had was a 8'x8' steel garden shed with sliding doors. I had shelving/ workbench on one side, the rollaway tool box and more shelves on the other wall, and pegboard on the back wall. That left me room to store the motorcycle and push mower in the middle, or just barely enough space to work on one of them.

I gave up having a parking spot in my garage. The Civic sleeps under the stars.

I have been in my house for 11 years, and I have never had a car parked in it! My junkers don't deserve it. I have never washed my cars either. They sit out in the rain, so they get a shower. Since I got my XJ, it hasn't spent a night outside, and I clean it often, even though it isn't running. It's all about priorities.

I utilize the far corner of my garage in front of the car I keep there. Granted it is a 69 Bug therefore LOTS of room in front, but I mounted the workbench to the walls (rear and left). For the front right and front center supports, I went from leading edge, back to the sill plate on the diagonal. This allows for more unobstructed floor space (storage for compressor, etc.). Even with the bike in there IN FRONT of the Bug, there's still room for me to work at the bench...

Along with peg board get some magnetic strips, they're great for hanging tools from. Another thing I got was a large chest on wheels http://tinyurl.com/qfmk248

i think that unless you buy a closed up K-Mart, your shop will eventually become too small.
i like empty dry-wall mud buckets, they hold a good ammount of anything and stack. usually get them free where their building a plan of homes. they make a good seat and a board on top makes a temporary bench
