First off, hello all. My name is Thomas. I bought my XJ550 about three weeks ago, and have been sponging off everyone here for info and the like. This is a very cool place...

Anyhow, I went home for the 4th of July (Owensboro, Ky), and lo and behold, I bet I saw at least two dozen ppl on bikes there. Only two had helmets on, but the really cool part was, I bet only 4 bikes were 1998 models or newer. I swear I saw at least a dozen classic Yamaha bikes! One was definitely and 81 or 82 maxim. At least 6 were Secas! This is a bigtime change from down here in Bowling Green, because down here, most ppl are riding Hondas or Harleys, and most of them are 2000 models or newer (helps to have Honda and Harley dealerships here).

Regardless, I was totally thrown off by all the classic bikes up in my hometown. Maybe that place isn't as bad as I thought. Now if I can only get them to start wearing helmets, it would be a cool place for once... :p
