So i got sall my xj750 m otor back together and did a shift test before i was going to re mount it, And wouldn't you know it i only have 3 gears and i cant find nooch. So when i took it apart i only had 1st and neutral, and i took all the pieces of plastick out of the shift drum from my STUPID primary chain guide. So i probably set something up wrong please help, my manual is on its way but prolly wont be here till 2 weeks from now.

that dot should be your roller in neutral.
all the pins are in the shift drum, right?
    springs are all there?
there is a place in the book that tells you to hold the shift fork up in position while the case halves are joined :(
