motor was in a hydrolock and I pushed the starter button a few times to try to force the start instead of pulling a plug like im supposed to and the ignition light stopped coming on and I stopped hearing a relay click, but I had a flaky keyswitch so I reassembled it and had good continuity with the meter. plugged it back in with a buddy holding the headlight attached, good batt voltage, good battery connections, all fuses tone out.

so what's next down the line? figures cause im in the middle of tuning. thanks ya'll

can you jump the relay with a screwdriver and get it turn over?

Jump the starter and see if it works.

traced the wiring diagram and ended up finding the Starter Switch was bad which is connected directly to battery via the metal bus bar. when the switch was touched or moved the ignition lights would come right on, when the starter button was pushed, either the engine would turn over or the switch would vibrate and fail.

I'm really surprised I never read a thread with this switch mentioned Ever!
