A man cannot have too many XJ's. (Unless his garage is too full already.) You KNOW you want a Maxim, too...

I don't think that's an 82 650 maxim - Square headlights instead of single round and wrong side panels...

Doesn't look like any I have seen at least.

Looks an awful lot like a 750 to me...

And I'm not sure how many would agree that starter clutch issues are "a fairly easy fix". Other than that, it looks like a great deal!

looks just like my 750. I seen somewhere that you have to split the cases to fix a starter clutch.

Starter Clutch replacement is most definitely NOT and easy job.
Even if you are bold enough to attempt the infrequently used "Shortcut" ... you still have got to do several hours of intense wrenching ... including breaking-loose and extracting the Factory thread-lock applied Torx fasteners on the cover behind the Alternator.

Don't let somebody wanting to dump a bike who indicates in his as test that it's an easy fix.
    No way!

Fixing a Starter Clutch is right up there on the Richter Scale, next to overhauling a transmission!
