Spam bots? Ad bots?

    Surely there's a way to prevent this crap from clogging our excellent site! How do they post here when they have to register first? Is it F.M.??

    Bots have become pretty sophisticated. Adding a CAPTCHA feature would help curb these users from registering.

    I'm a tech dude with a CS degree, if the mods want help installing such a feature just let me know.

    My Brew Club's web site had a problem with this. But we are small potatoes and all new members are now approved by a moderator before being activated. The spam bots don't spend any time on the site and the mods can tell them from a live person. This is probably way to much to expect from our mods here as the volume of traffic here is much, much greater.
