Does anyone know if an 85 xj700 has plug wires that can be removed from the ignition coils for replacement or are they molded in? I know the earlier models were molded but I'm hoping I don't need to replace the whole coil. What are my options?

Soothe my jangled nerves boys. :?

    Thanx

But you can still replace the lines, just follow the directions in the DITY section of the forum. Different coils but the basics are the same and the design is pretty universal.

Yeah, I have the same bike, and I did mine using the exact same method described in the DYI section. I had one plug wire that was blue with corrosion between the cap end and the wire. I supose I could have spliced the wire with a piece of new, but it would not have looked as good.
