hi, while out riding i noticed the trip meter and the counter stopped working today but the needle still tells you what speed your doing, its not that big a deal but the trip meter tells me when i have to start thinking about fuel and the counter for service intervals etc, any advice welcome, cable is only 12 months old and lubed, sounds like i may have to learn to live with it short of getting another speedo, thanks in advance

Mine does the opposite the odometer works but the needle takes a holiday every now and then.
Any cable driven speedo from a Japanese bike should work, as I understand it they all used the same gearing.
Matching your cluster might be the hardest bit.
You could always use the one off your RD lol.

bloody wierd, this arvo it started working again for 700 metres,, i did a search and will check a couple of things out, but as long as i know how fast im going i guess i will just do my oil changes every 6 months and check the shims once a year and play the rest by ear. i think for now i will leave the RD alone, ive seen a few for sale but there in miles and it wont do,, i will have a look in the speedo itself and get a bit of inox into it and see if that helps,
