Hi guys... Can anyone tell me if the speedo cable for a standard xj750 roadbike is the same for a 750 maxim J? I thought it should be as the only difference is the height of the bars, unless the forks are much longer? I measured mine and its 108cm, but one on fleabay stated 104cm, although I doubt that 4cm would matter much. - Thanks.

4cm is 1.6 inches shorter. How much slack is in your old cable when the forks are extended?

Plenty of slack - in fact I think a slightly shorter one would be better - I could lose maybe 60mm without making it too taught.
I think I'll go for it as it seems to be common on a lot of models.
    - thanks fellas.
