I have a 1982 XJ650J and was wanting to do away with the bulky gauge cluster for a mini speedo with indicator lights built in. Can anyone tell me if it is possible and if so, how hard is it to do? Thanks!

That's the one I was looking at. It's the wiring I'm worried about.

Ive just rewired my entire front end and i didnt think it was to hard. You have all the wires for it now its just a matter of cutting and splicing, it should be pretty straight forward. Youll probably have to remove the cancellation unit to get reliable blinkers and manually shut them off like in the normal bike world but thats just a matter of reaching under the tank and pulling the plug.

I already did all of that. I bobbed it out over the winter and did away with every thing I didn't need or want. I really like the look of the single speedo and would love to put one on my bike to clean up the handlebar area even more.
