    Does anyone know the 650j spin on oil filter part number?

    Bear in mind that it isn't just a filter -- there's a plate that bolts onto the engine housing that the filter sits on top of, and a threaded tube that takes the place of the housing bolt.

    Oh, and your part number for the kit is either an HCP1284PL, HCP1284KN, HCP1284CR, or HCP1284AM depending on whether you want a Purolator, K&N, Chromed K&N, or Amsoil filter with the kit.

    Those part numbers aren't factory numbers, they are chacal part numbers. Thanks anyway though. I have the kit installed on my bike and forgot to write down the oil filter factory part number off of the filter box.

    Ah, sorry -- misunderstood what you were looking for. I get the impression that once the kit is installed, you can use pretty much any standard automotive oil filter.
