I'm readying an 82 650 Maxim for sale next spring. The last thing that needs to be done is to finish the replacement tank as the original was dented. I've used a good lacquer to paint it and just applied a can of spraymax 2K 2-part clear coat to it. It looks really good and the 2K is pretty much gas proof. Now I can sell this bike in good conscience.

The question is in what to do now that the 2K has been applied? How long before I go over the clear coat with 2000 wet/dry to remove any orange peel? It's not exactly smooth like glass but reflects well. I know I can remove the tiny amount of peel with rubbing time & effort but how long before I can start doing this? there's no application info on the can and the company has no info number.

    Thanks.
