I saw this product at the auto store when I was picking up some traditional Sta-Bil for my now-retired-barely-driving mom's car.

Here is a FAQ quote about the product:

Thoughts on using this newer product on our XJs?

FYI: I live in Illinois with at least 10% ethanol and the lobbyists are pushing for even higher (15% I think). I'm asking this now while in the early stages of rebuilding my carbs. 8)

    Bob,
I buy the marine formula in the large container, 32 oz I think because of the value it presents over the standard product....more gallons protected per ounce and it's formulated to help cope with the moisture.

I've used it for a while in all my bikes since they don't all get ridden frequently and for the boat in the off season. I put the boat in the water this past weekend....my daughter cleaned the inside and I brought the cushions up from the basement then I changed the lower unit grease, pulled all three plugs, shot a 1/2 ounce of gas/oil mix into each cylinder, replaced with new plugs and after filling the huge plastic bin, hit the key and it fired right up and settled into a nice easy idle....I had put 10 gallons of gas in it last Oct and mixed it with Stabil marine before putting it in the tank.... We took it out for an hour long shake down and it ran perfectly! THAT's why I use it...no fuss, no muss.

Agreed, I've used Sta-Bil for over 40 years for seasonal storage of my bikes, lawn tractor, etc.

I don't think it's at all necessary for everyday usage, especially if you're actually riding every day.

I think you both missed the point of the new NON-storage product. It is for every fillup and suppose to help fight the negative effect of ethanol add to some region's gas....

I'm not sure that you would really get any value for that purpose. they are using methanol(other brands) or naphtha(Sta-bil E treatment) and claiming it counters the effects of the bad E....fyi, that naphtha that they use and charge you 6-15 bucks per 12 ounces for.....we call it lighter fluid and paint thinner and can buy it labeled that way for 10 bucks a gallon!!

Check for yourself, thats what they are using....in fact if you mix a little mineral oil into it, you'll be almost duplicating their formula from what I found on the MSDS sheets<LOL>!
