start issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i have an 85 xj700x and i replaced the start switch and stater relay. i cant get it to start by the start switch. if i jump the across the relay it will turn over but not by the switch. need help trying to figure this out or can someone send me a wiring diagram of that bike so i can trace the wires... thanks for any help with this problem.

    BTW... i will be selling this bike once i get the start problem fix. before the start problem showed up, it ran fine. i am selling it because i now have 2 harleys and no time for it....

    check the sidestand switch if it has one. Make sure its not stuck in.
