Hey gang. For the past few days when I push the start button, I get a click or tick sound and the bike doesnt fire up immediately. I try a few times and then it fires up. Once it is warmed up it doesnt seem to happen again. Could this be the starter going bad or the starter solenoid perhaps?

    Thanks!

    Yes.

Or the battery is getting soggy, or the fusebox needs attention, or it's time for alternator brushes (if the battery isn't charging fully) but it is most likely the solenoid. When it happens, jumper across the two big terminals on the solenoid which effectively bypasses it. (You will get some sparks.) If the starter spins fine, replace the solenoid.

Once it's warmed up, the battery doesn't need to work as hard. I'm gonna stay with battery............
