Well ive had this bike for a while now, almost sold it to Len, 1983 xj 750, Well one day I went out and my battery was dead.

so I put a motorcycle trickle charger on it. when it finally charged the starter relay went out.

ive gotten the relay only to find out that the starter is blown too.

so I took the starter apart to see if it was just the cap wires shorting out or burnt out or something. ( im handy for soldering stuff)

So enough background on to the real question..

well, ive seen the Yamaha XS650's with a PMA swap and moved over to kickstart only.

Is there a kit that I can buy to convert this bike so that I can toss my battery and other stuff away.

im so tired of tracing down this issue and spending money. Id much rather kick the thing 18million times than to push my Ignition button only for it to not do anything anymore.

There is no provision for kickstarting any of the XJ series of motorcycles. Even if there was you would still need to do a thorough examiniation of your electrical system. We say this about getting the engine running all the time; ther are no shortcuts. The same holds true of the electrical system. Go through the circuits and rebuild those things that haven't been touched in 30 years. Clean all of the electrical connections (including the grounds). That is the only to get a reliable daily-rider.
