starter question

    Can I hard wire a starter button that connects the two sides of the starter soenoid and when depressed conneccts the two sides kinda like a screwdriiver. I tried it temporarily and it worke minus the small wires that I used got hot. Not heavy enough guage. I jst don't wanna damage the tci

    Don't see where that would be a problem so long as the wire is of approriate gauge and the switch can handle the amps. It would be doing the same thing as the solenoid.

    Does your solenoid not work at all or are you just trying to replace the starter button with a switch?

    Was replacing switch but did some trouble shooting and found the problem. Bad connection at one of the plug ins

    If it was the switch you wanted to replace you can just tap your new switch inplace of the button. The solenoid is just a big relay.
