Both the bolts for my oil filter and oil pan are stuck on my 82 seca 750. I've put a 12mm open end wrench on the oil filter bolt, after soaking the back in PB blaster and I just start to round it.

The oil pain drain looks like a 6pt 16mm? It's rusted and appears to be a replacement. Any tips for unsticking these?

Also, there is a lot of white sludge in my crankcase. Would gasoline do that? I know some leaked in when the floats were set too high. Or is it more likely a ventilation/short trip problem?

I have yet to face this, but I HATE open enders! Try a good fitting socket or ring spanner.

The only tip I have is to use the next size down - be it Metric or Imperial - and tap it on with a mallet. This gives a good fit on a rounded bolt head.

I believe "Mayonaise" is a short trip/condensation issue when the motor does not really get hot enough.

Yep, that white or cream colored residue is from moisture, whatever the source. Usually short-tripping does it especially in humid weather.

If you even suspect the oil has been polluted with gas, change it.

Mine started rounding (the small head, never changed out) and I tapped a deep well socket on the bolt, then used breaker bar while wife tapped on the end with hammer and got both of them off with no problem  ...
