Without using the full bike stand (which I plan on removing anyway), how do some of you jack your bike up? Surely wouldn't think of setting jack under 4 into 2 exhaust collector...... so what do some of you do?

Depends on what you need to work on, the wheels, the motor, or what, if you havn't got a work / centre stand, the bike will need supporting at 3 points, you can get 3 axel stands, 1 under each side of the swing arm & depending on what model you have, you can get the third under the cross member of the frame at the front.

Thks...... just used to using regular motorcycle jack on my Road Star which fits right under the frame. I plan on tearing a few things apart and trying to make the bike into more of a bobber and/or retro looking thing. Just don't care for the exhaust set-up at all, but don't see any viable options to that set-up.

You might want to build a table out of wood if you are going to do "everything" - - save your back !! Make a front wheel holder.

Bad back = wooden table. Works GREAT after it's up there. Getting it up there by myself is another story  ...
