I was thinking of getting a triumph street triple r this year, but don't think I'll have the $ for it. So I'm hanging on to my seca 2 for at least 1-2 more years.

It's mechanically all stock, with some parts replaced (by me).
I'd like to lighten the weight of the bike by as much as possible and increase it's power output.

    What I was thinking:
    Jet kit
Switch to a single, small exhaust
    convert to street fighter look

I'll put my budget at 500$
    Any tips/advice would be great!
    thanks!

Bob it! I mean, get out the grinder (with a cutting wheel on it) and start cutting off all that crap ya don't need. Shorten up the fenders, get rid of the gauge cluster and just use a small speedometer. Get rid of all the excess weight and make your power-to-weight ratio bigger. Oh ya, and lose some weight yourself!!
    Just jerkin' yer chain...
You'd be surpized how these bikes run with some of that extra stuff removed. They seem to fly.

    Save your money.

You're not going to do anything for $500 that will make it go faster; except maybe get it running 100% right. Most "mods" will actually slow it down (but it will make more noise and you'll think it's faster.) The 600 is pretty stretched; you want faster go find a used R6.

I don't care about speed so much as I do handling. I used to own a R1 and been 170mph plenty of times. There's only so many times you can go super fast before it loses its appeal. I'm concerned with maneuverability of the bike and getting in/out of places fast.
My bike just seems to seriously lack throttle response and power when I need it.

But I am probably gonna do the above mentioned things and also get a good KN air filter.

Have you done all the normal suggested stuff?
    Check valve clearance.
    Clean/sync/etc carbs
    Check/Lube/Replace throttle cable
    Rotor pads sticking?
    Check other mechanical issues?

Oohhh, nitrous in a motor that probably needs a valve adjustment! What, you wanna start a pool?

I worked with Rickomatic on the bike and we tuned up everything we could. I will be doing a carb clean/check next month, which I'm sure will improve some performance.
