    DON'T RE-USE USED SHIMS. Use for test purposes only or to hold a position while you swap one somewhere else as a test.

    Re using old shims is false economy. The cost to repair damage caused by a spit shim is many times the cost of a new one.

    There are many who will dispute this point; once again I simply defer to the factory's recommendation and the fact that I have way too much time and money invested to take a $1000 chance for $7.50.
